Jun 16, 2009 · The Intel 2200bg definitely supports WPA2. I have one running WPA2 in a T42 running both Win XP and Win 7. As fmyhr says you need to be sure you're running a version of Win XP which supports WPA2. SP1 does not support it, but there is a Microsoft patch.

Oct 05, 2005 · Hp is telling me that the overall hardware in the laptop does not support WPA key but WEP only even thought I have the latest drivers from intel and the latest hot fixes from Mircosoft SP 2. My thinking was the encryption is based on the type of wireless card you have! I have all updated firmware for my wrt54g router linksys.

Which 2200BG driver and client versions are you running? The Intel PRO/Wireless client should work with either WPA-PSK TKIP and AES too (but my 2 WRT54G units are running HyperWRT firmware). Oct 22, 2005 · Hello fellow 2200bg sufferers. I have a similar setup to wboo and it does cause some real problems. I updated the firmware on my linksys wrt54g to the lastest version (as of last week) Up until that point, I couldn't use the latest drivers from intel and WPA encryption.
