I think you may be asking the wrong question. It's not WPA vs. WPA2, it's WPA1/2 Personal (PSK) vs WPA1/2 Enterprise (802.1X). In my experience, WPA-PSK is supported, WPA (802.1X) is not and questions about WPA-Enterprise on Reddit get ignored.
