Jun 09, 2017 · Apple's raw-supporting DAM/raw converters (iPhoto & Aperture) occasionally throw up this message for usually no discernible reason and with no real solution (except if the specific camera model is not supported, which in your case would only apply to raw files from your 7D II, see below).

Jul 09, 2006 · No matter what you shoot, if you import a RAW file into iPhoto, it will convert the files into JPEG and then display it. The RAW files are kept in a folder called 'originals' and they are never touched again. Unless you go through all the folders and get out the RAW file, iPhoto never touches them.
