It's a VST plugin to work on the Mac OSX platform. IIRC Logic supported VSTs at some point; however, it doesn't now. You can use VSTs in other OSX DAWs that support the VST format.

Apr 30, 2016 · Logic X only supports AU plugins. But Antares Auto-Tune 8 is available in supported AU format. So as long as you're installing the AU it will work.
