Feb 11, 2013 · 3. You don't. WPA-PSK is hardware encryption done by the wifi chipset. The DS wifi chipset doesn't supprt WPA-PSK, the DSi wifi chipset does.

Apr 20, 2012 · No, the DS does not support anything other than WEP encryption unfortunately. It simply will not work with WPA/WPA2. You can either switch your router to WEP temporarily, which is annoying and sounds like not really an option with your roommates, or set up a second connection. There are a few options for doing this.

Yes, the 3DS has no problem with WPA2, but it can't interpret Wireless n signals. If you can afford the loss, shift it to being b/g compatible. (they still emit n, though, it doesn't have as nice a frequency as the faster ones) If not, then I guess you already have you solution.
