Mar 28, 2012 · Some of the Nintendo support pages indicate the device only supports WEP encryption versus WPA2 or WPA. WEP Key is a security setting for your router. WEP is the only security that is compatible with the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Connection. You will need to set your router for WEP security -- or remove security on your router -- to use the Nintendo DS at this access point.

The DSi and 3DS can connect to WPA for internet and other internal functions, but only 3DS games and special 'DSi-enhanced' ones can be played over WPA, they are unable to play regular DS games over it. The only real solution is to change your router to WEP.

Apr 20, 2012 · Firstly, the Nintendo USB connector is supposedly simple to use (I haven't used one myself) although it doesn't support Win7 64-bit. You could buy a second wireless router, set it up as an access point with WEP encryption and just turn it on when you need it.
