Aug 25, 2011 · As my lovely ISP blocks port 25, I am wondering if you support SSL or TLS SMTP on port 587 or 465? It seems that this is not the case as when I attempt SSL it says that it cannot reach MYSERVER.com. When I attempt TSL it says "Remote server does not support TLS code(500)" Has anyone had success using gmail like I describe?

Note: STARTTLS is not a command related to TLS. TLS and SSL are protocol agnostic and STARTTLS is a protocol command. STARTTLS is a way to promote an existing insecure connection ( I mean upgrade it ) to a secure connection. Feb 15, 2011 · Would liek to configure a Receive Connector on either port 465 or 587 to allow SSL - similar to how POP3 is configured. The situation is that my client is on a mobile device that only has one setting - Enable Secure Connection. Apparently the Enable Secure Connection means SSL only, and TLS is not available.
