As far as I know O2 does support date&time update over the network, as I've always had it switched on, on all my Nokia phones on O2. It was working fine, until one day when it started setting the date to two days in the future.

That's just something I accepted that O2 hadn't implemented on their network (indeed, if you search back through the forums the same answer - it's not supported - has been given several times) ...

Jul 16, 2019 · NITZ may be supported by the SIM card provider or not. In Germany only O2 and Vodafone support NITZ (02/2016). When only the WLAN radio is used, then the date and time can be automatically synchronized with a public timeserver with NTP (Network Time Protocol) NTP does not know about time zones and manages all time information based on UTC.
