All OCZ SATA SSDs meet the SATA Revision 3.0 or later standard and support SATA 6Gbit/s link speed. They require a SATA 6Gbit/s controller to achieve it's specified performance metrics. All models are compatible to SATA 3Gbit/s controllers but would be limited in performance, usually maxing out around 250-260MB/s.

Jun 10, 2009 · Joined: Jun 10, 2008. "Old" news since it was released yesterday, but for those who didn't know, OCZ released their latest Vertex SSD firmware that will support TRIM. OCZ will release their TRIM utility that is functional on Vista 32 and 64bit very soon. It's for Vertex SSD's only and does not support any other SSD's.

Jun 29, 2017 · SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 60GB SATA III HDD: Seagate 1GB ST1000DM003-1CH162 SATA III Win7 x64 I installed a drive monitor to check things out. It says that the SSD is TRIM capable but TRIM is disabled. Win7 says that TRIM is enabbled.

Its the same for all sandforce driven SSDs. And it will be twice as fast in raid 0 literally. Different companies support programs that work like TRIM. Like for my OCZ SSDs I have a garbage collection program that kicks in when the computer is not in use.Check to see if intel has something like that available because raid 0 is the way to go.

So I found a thread on OCZ’s forums that describes a process of recovering a drive with symptoms similar to mine, a process approved by one of OCZ’s technical support employees. This process involved flashing the drive’s firmware back to revision 1.10, then incrementally flashing to 1.3, then 1.41, then 1.5 (which is the current as of this posting).

Sep 17, 2011 · Re: Erasing a Vertex 3 120GB SSD. Hmmm well if HDDErase doesn't work then go Linux or the toolbox. The Linux way is more involved but it works. Burn yourself a CD of whichever Linux one of those guides uses. Another option - if you have another PC with SATA, just plug the SSD into it and wipe it with the OCZ toolbox.
