Sep 19, 2013 · OpenDNS doesn't support DNSSEC, and prevents doing the validation yourself if you wanted to do so, by stripping required records before forwarding a response to you. If you need DNSSEC for specific zones (like, for publishing SSH host keys), you can configure BIND to forward queries to OpenDNS except for these zones.

Every single authoritative and recursive DNS service in the world, including OpenDNS could support DNSSEC but it still wouldn't make much of a difference because the actual certificates and other settings that have to be implemented for DNSSEC any particular domain to work with DNSSEC have to come from the entity that has registered that domain.

Jan 13, 2014 · It would be nice however if US federal agencies followed their mandate to support DNSSEC, but as with IPv6 most have missed or simply ignored it. Given the choice I'd rather see OpenDNS giving priority to full IPv6 support rather than DNSSEC however.
