If this is a HD box it HAS to be able to output 5.1, otherwise it cannot legally use the HD logo nor it can be named Hi-Def. Second, if you only can get the PCM, then check your sound system.

Feb 12, 2017 · Im still trying to get my head around the various audio formats, but is it possible to get 5.1 through PCM? If it is possible, does it come to as 5.1 in the sonos app, or will all PCM come up as stereo? I'm looking into possibly getting a splitter to bypass the TV for audio, if that'll help me get 5.1 from all my DTS Blurays. Any tips?

Dec 22, 2007 · Both cables support 5.1, problem is that unless you are receiving HDTV signal your football games will not be in 5.1 but 2.0. If you switch your mode from Dolby Digital to either Dolby Pro logic 1 or 2, it won't be as good as 5.1 but it will be as good as it can get.
