There's no problem with WPA2 on the PS3. The only device that i'm aware of that didn't support it was the PSP-1000 series. The PSPGo does and the Vita does (own both) and of course the PS3 does, both Slim and 60gb Phat. My advice to you would be to reset the router, failing that, try accessing the router settings and setting a custom WPA2 key.

Aug 17, 2013 · WPA2 is actually partially supported - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Go to "Network Settings", select Infrastructure Mode, then "Scan", select your SSID, then manually select the encryption type "WPA-PSK (AES)" and proceed to typing in your network key.

Aug 22, 2013 · It it's WPA2 with a pre-shared key (doubtful, if University), then it will work. Likely there's some sort of user account credentials necessary and that likely won't be supported on the PS4. Makes sense because most home networks don't have that crazy wireless security.

There is clearly a problem with the Win10 implementation of WPA security PSK ... it may not support some of the security types to connect ...
