For wifi chipsets not supported by a native Linux driver, Puppy also includes ndiswrapper, which will "wrap" a Windows driver.

Ok, so 4 months later, I am using Lucid Puppy again, after getting aquainted with it and Slacko. Frisbee doesn't work completely. With Slacko setting up my wifi is easy, install frisbee and there you go. But in Lucid everything in the "Config Wifi Networks" tab is greyed out and is inactive. Or something like that.

The Linux acx-mac80211 driver is, in fact, WPA-compatible. You just need to modify the Network Wizard's configuration file to define the acx-mac80211 driver as WPA-compatible.
