Yes, latest vlc 3.0.8 plays UHD blu ray movies and supports audio passthrough for dolby atmos. I have denon x3500h and connected my pc to it. I dont use madVR and filters as it is not user friendly and for some reason gives me greenish tint to the image not even madVR experts could find out why and pointed out the VLC HDR image is accurate.
