I just set up a Windows 8 VM using VMWare Fusion 5, however with "Accelerate 3D Graphics" set to on under the "Display" settings icons in Windows 8 will randomly disappear, and re-appaer while I'm using it. I am using the RTM build of Windows 8. It is most obvious when using the Office 2013 Preview, however it does happen throughout the OS.

Nov 02, 2014 · Have just installed the Technical Preview in a Windows 8 x64 machine on Fusion 7. The VMware Tools wouldn't install from the menu-bar link, so I had to go into the VMware app package, get the Windows.iso and mount it as a CD/DVD drive. Once VMware Tools was installed I was able to resize the desktop to fit my native resolution.
