    Jan 30, 2011 · Find the drive that needs to be formatted, right click on it, delete any partition that may be on there and select New Simple Volume and set drive size to 2000 as that is the limit of FAT16 for older Windows, or 4000 for Windows 7 and higher. Once you do that you can right click the drive and select Format and FAT shows up at an option (FAT is FAT 16).
