May 22, 2010 · One Cable has two drives, E, F Other cable has Iomega Zip. Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. When booting computer, BIOS for the SIIG shows the three drives, BIOS for MB shows the DVD burner. When finished booting, the Zip drive is not in My Computer or Computer Disk Management.

Windows XP on install (with SP3) has good drivers for Adaptec 2940 SCSI controllers and drivers for JAZ, ZIP, and multiple other vendoe CD and CD/RW drives including Toshiba and Yamaha drives. I used some Internal and some External easily moved from machine to machine when needed.

First up, Jaz drives work perfectly in Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64bit operating systems. I believe it will work in Windows 10, but I haven't tried that yet. Additional drivers are not required.

Aug 22, 2010 · The 100MB USB zip drive lists a driver for Vista, but not Windows 7. The Vista driver SHOULD work but no guarantees. What version of Windows 7 are you using. I ask because I am not sure if the home editions allow it, but I have Ultimate 32 bit and I can install hardware configured as if running under an earlier version of Windows.

May 15, 2017 · Zip drives are no longer supported by Microsoft or the manufacturers. They may work with Linux, but that is highly doubtful, since the technology was more of a crutch between those who could not afford tape drives and the manufacturers thought that they were going to replace the 3.5" drives, which never happened.

May 16, 2017 · I have bought a used iomega zip 100 driver, trying to read some sold discs. Together I bought a parallel-to-USB adaptor so that the driver can be connected to by PC, running on Windows 10. However, the PC does not recognize the zip driver at all. I saw some community message suggesting an old Windows version might work with Zip drive.
