The PTR is Blizzard’s personal playground in order to publically test features that will give them better data than if they tested them internally. Apr 10, 2016 · wow uses up to 6 cores. but your usage will look like this core 1 100% core 2 80% core 3 50% core 4 20% core 3 & 4 10-20% it tapers off and minimum fps is still very bound to single core performance, and nowadays intel cores are much, much more powerful compared to AMD's "small" cores. furthermore, the 6600k is the processor you'd want. its new. it performs a bit faster.

Oct 04, 2016 · WoW doesn't have most of those, no (it does have some physics elements since around MoP), but some of the things you described aren't 'heavy' features, or are can be done by specific parts of the GPU in some games (e.g. some games that support PhysX), or need the engine to support it but that doesn't mean they make things extremely heavy.
