Jan 04, 2020 · Real remote support in NetPlay will probably never happen but I am working on adding support for mapping real Wii remotes within Dolphin's controller configuration. This will allow you to fully emulate a Wii remote using the actual inputs of a real Wii remote, which will work in NetPlay.

Sep 09, 2018 · I wanted to play Donkey Kong Country Returns with a friend since wiimotes are enabled again in Netplay. But as soon as we start the game it shows the message "wiimote 2 has been disconnected by emulated software".

Mar 27, 2017 · Aaaand run into "Wiimote remote one not detected" and stuff... Then I try to find problems online as to why that is, well... turns out support for emulated wiimote was removed in 5.0. Which... was the only conclusion. That ended that. Theeeeeen... Cry forgot to move the dolphin emulator to hide the room ID they were joining.

Mar 16, 2014 · Now, I know the GC netplay is very good at the moment, just finished doing a 47 hour (total gametime) playthrough of Tales of Symphonia over netplay without a single desync. I've followed the steps for Wiimote netplay, and even searched and read countless threads about it to make sure I'm not missing something, but it just doesn't seem to work.

The main goal of much of this work was to make it so that users could just play games together without having to worry about synchronization. Thanks to some of these recent efforts, it's fully possible to go on netplay and enjoy a game with others without having to do any specialized setup.
