Apr 07, 2017 · windows 10 does not trust the host file by default and windows 8 is finished i.e, Microsoft has stopped all surport for it so the offical answer would have to be no. I do still have a windows 8 system with cs6 running on it so ime it does still work if you only want to make out dated web sites.

As far as the IE alert, I don't know how much that will really affect you under W10. IE was replaced by Edge and the market share for that browser is dwindling every day.
