Nov 22, 2019 · It has bidirectional support enabled, but its greyed out and I cant un-tick it. It is disabled on the queue on the server so I removed the printer uninstalled the driver and added the printer again but upon checking the properties the tick is still there. I added the printer on my laptop and bidirectional support is turned off.

Nov 18, 2011 · I also have the very same problem. I'm printing through a wired network on a Windows 7/Dell Latitutte E6500. "Enable Bidirectional support" and "Enable printer spooling" are both unchecked. There must be something wrong with this machines configuration since my other laptop (mac) connected to the same ethernet switch prints with no problems.
