Yeah, your locale settings are messed up. Check your ~/.profile or ~/.zshrc to see what's up there. Make sure it's not clobbering LANG anywhere. And on macOS, plain "UTF-8" is, I think, not a valid value for LC_CTYPE or any other LC_ value.. But the good news is that probably doesn't matter at all here, and Ettercap is working just fine regardless.

Since ettercap 0.7.5-1 the gtk-version of ettercap does not work. Steps to reproduce: Type 'sudo ettercap-gtk'. The output will be: "Please select an User Interface" OR Type 'sudo ettercap -G'. The output will be: 'GTK support is not compiled in ettercap' Expected behavior: Both methods should have started the ettercap GUI-version.
