If Disabled really does disable the entire interface and NVMe SSDs don't behave any differently, then it would appear that your system doesn't allow AHCI mode, in which case you would not be able to install Linux unless there's some Intel RST driver for Linux out there.

The Fedora-29-MATE-Compiz spin DVD doesn't "see" it. Nor does Clonezilla. There's a BIOS mode setting for the Intel RST: "RST" mode for RAID, and "AHCI" mode for separate SATA drives. Changing that setting to AHCI will probably break the RAID1 array and render the P72 unbootable.

Jan 13, 2009 · Did you mean "AHCI SATA low-level driver" ? If so, it depends on the kernel. Clonezilla SE uses all the programs of OS from your server, so if the kernel is too old, maybe it won't support new hardware. I suggest you can try to use the latest GNU/Linux, say Ubuntu 8.10 or Fedora 9/10 to be your Clonezilla SE server.
