I find it odd that input type="date" is still not supported in Firefox after all of this time. In fact, I don't think they added in much (if any) of the HTML 5 new types on an input element. Not surprised that it is not supported in IE10.

Jun 12, 2017 · <input type=date> and <input type=time> input box are automatically formatted based on your browser locale, that means the Firefox browser with the language you downloaded and installed. This is the same as your interface language of Firefox. This is how <input type=time> looks like using Firefox Traditional Chinese!

When I view databases through Firefox, the date/day format is set at month, day, year (US style), whereas I need day, month, year, I work in the UK and the "wrong" format is VERY confusing and could lead to errors/mistakes.

All of those browsers that support the date input type also support the min and max attributes. Chrome and Opera both work fine if both the min and max attributes are set, but the UI is poor when only one of them is set. In these browsers, the date input displays up and down arrows for the user to change each value (day, month, and year).

For those who are following this bug, I'd like to let you know that we're going to support input type="date" and type="time" in Firefox v57. The rest of the date/time input types, that is "month", "week" and "datetime-local", are backlogged for now.
