Mar 15, 2013 · Uninstalling AMD Catalyst Display Driver for Radeon 4800 (in my case) and using Win 8 supplied display driver returns H264 support in IE10 back to life. I don't know a reason why. Both complects are WDDM 1.1 level and with AMD driver H264 acceleration available via DXVA in MPC HomeCinema and seems in WMP, but not in IE.

Mar 13, 2016 · I have an AMD GPU, an R5 230. *Before* the 1511 update, DXVA worked fine and all videos I played used hardware acceleration. Ever since the 1511 update, DXVA has ceased to function. MPC-HC refuses to play videos in HW mode!

In Windows 7, I could disable hardware acceleration by simply right-clicking a Flash Player video/animation and entering settings. In Windows 10, the ability to do this seems to have been removed from the settings section. Thank you for your help.
