Jun 02, 2016 · Steve I don't know if anyone really knows how long Garmin will support the 480. Here's what I do know, I have one in my plane and shared your concern 2 years ago when I was making my purchase. The guy I spoke with at Garmin said that there are lots of 480 units still in service and that the owners of those units are fanatical about them.
