HDF – GDAL - OSGeo

note that if you build against the static HDF5 lib (libhd5.lib) you will have to use the "-D_HDF5USEDLL_" as above; but if you build against the dynamic HDF5 lib (hdf5.lib) you will have to use the "-DH5_BUILT_AS_DYNAMIC_LIB" switch instead You can test this by executing the following in gdal\frmts\hdf: nmake /f makefile.vc Open Tickets. #4160 (add support for georreference and geotransform info ...

    https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/4160
Alex, a couple of notes on your patch: you say that the patch depends on attachment:hdf5dataset-metadata.patch:ticket:4121 but, if I remember well, all metadata related to an image should be associated to the "HDF5 dataset" itself or to its ancestors. Can you please confirm? you use the GDAL API to access metadata but IMHO it would be better to use HDF5 API.

GDAL netCDF Support - Unidata

    https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/archives/netcdfgroup/2004/msg00001.html
GDAL is an open source multi-format read/write library for geospatial raster data. I am interested in pointers to sample netCDF "grid" files, or cooperation from anyone intersted in testing the GDAL netCDF support - especially GMT users.

It is the "release-1800-x64-gdal-2-2-1-mapserver-7-0-6.zip", downloaded just today. In the information about this distribution it is indicated that it includes support for netCDF format. But when I run "gdalinfo --formats", netCDF is not in the list of the supported formats.

raster - Opening HDF data in QGIS on Ubuntu? - Geographic ...

GDAL is used by QGIS to read/write geospatial data. You can build QGIS from source to fine-tune the dependencies you want to use. However, I would suggest using a GDAL/QGIS binaries combination that supports HDF5 (e.g. from OSGEO4W). – Kersten Jun 28 '16 at 12:34

GDAL provider unable to open .bag / .hdf5 file in QGIS ...

    https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/issues/1428
Apr 07, 2019 · Simply stated, the quick fix is to recompile anything that calls HDF5 directly. This includes gdal and netcdf, among other things. These must be recompiled against the HDF5 headers matching your currently installed HDF5 library. ... If that is confirmed, then I think it will be time to ask HDF5 support for an interpretation of the message stack ...
