NPTL is a different way of implementing the pthread userspace API than the one previously used in Linux, called LinuxThreads. I am trying to find the Slackware package glibc with nptl support and from what I read it is supposed to be inlcluded with the current version of Slack, but after I install it I am still getting errors from other programs saying that I need to upgrade to glibc with nptl.
