May 20, 2009 · I have a HD tv and have been able to watch all movies I DVR d up until today. This is the message I get when trying to access one of these movies, "Your HDTV does not support HDCP. Please use the YPrPb component connection to watch tv".

Sep 11, 2011 · Now, you know WHY I think it's the cable box? Because you got that "DVI alert, Your HDTV does not support HDCP" I know your TV does support it ! So, if your Rogers box sends that DVI alert to the TV set, the TV is actually reading, and delivering the picture of the DVI alert to the TV screen !3/5(5.3K)

Jan 31, 2007 · It means you TV doesn't support HDCP, or High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. Your cable box won't output a signal because without HDCP the signal could be copied, to a DVD or other recording device. Basically, its yet another way for the media outlets to control what you do with your media. Theres not really a fix for this.
