Apr 16, 2011 · Gigabyte has graciously offered new BIOS versions to try and fix the problem, but they keep appearing. One thing I have found that seems to work is to disable the whole HPET driver in Windows. Before this, I tried to update BIOS, drivers, etc, etc. Switched the HPET on/off and even played around with 32/64 settings.
