Nov 08, 2014 · I just setup a Elastix server for my business and am looking for an iax2 compatible desk phone. I would love a Yealink SIP-T38G but I cannot find anywhere if it supports iax2 or not. The reason for requiring iax2 is the Watchguard firewall at my datacenter wont pass the sip packets correctly.5/5(3)

Support the ability to transmit dialplan information In order to avoid NAT problems, IAX2 uses UDP transport protocol, normally on port 4569, and both signaling information and data go together using the same protocol (unlike SIP). Therefore, IAX2 has less NAT problems and it can pass through routers and firewalls in a better way.

Apr 16, 2009 · The phone supports SIP and IAX2. It is a multi-line phone, with dual ethernet and 802.3af PoE support. It will reportedly retail for less than $100. I also managed to snag a few spy photos and a handful of screenshots, which you can view below.

Aug 19, 2015 · The point isn't efficiency, but rather support for the protocol. IAX2 requires a single UDP port to use instead of multiple high RTP ports -- I, for example, use IAX2 exclusively for work, so adding those capabilities onto sipphone would make it usable as a work extension. IAX/IAX2 are proprietary protocols and Grandstream does not currently support these protocols. For BudgeTone 100 Series BT101 and BT102 models Off-hook the receiver or press speakerphone.
