Apr 01, 2011 · AMD AHCI drivers do not support TRIM and are 10-30% slower than the generic MS drivers. With my Vertex the difference was approx. 10-12% but there are reports of much larger performance differences. There is a thread on this board about the topic with some benches.

Sep 12, 2016 · I managed to boot in to windows but figured out that trim isn't enabled for my ssd. I've updated to the latest driver but it doesn't seem to be fixed either. I heard Intel has trim support via their RST drivers. Do AMD has trim support for their raid drivers or any kind of software that do support it?Reviews: 20

For a short time in March 2010, users were led to believe that the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) 9.6 drivers supported TRIM on RAID volumes, but Intel later clarified that TRIM was supported for the BIOS settings of AHCI mode and RAID mode, but not if the drive was part of a RAID volume.
