We convert from RGB to CMYK to control the balance of ink for printing. If you are performing a batch operation, you exercise no distinct control and the mass conversion of individual images to CMYK may be pointless. A page layout program like InDesign can accept RGB images and then produce CMYK output in one simple operation.

Apr 29, 2008 · I'm unable too. I found an online converter for this here. And some warning about this process : ~ RGB has less degrees of freedom (3) than CMYK (4). Therefore, although one can convert any RGB to CMYK without losing information, the inverse is not the case.

I have a need to convert images from CMYK to RGB - not necessarily back again, but hey, if it can be done... With the release of ColdFusion 8, we got the CFImage tag, but it doesn't support this conversion; and nor does Image.cfc, or Alagad's Image Component.. However, it should be possible in Java; which we can leverage through CF.

Jul 22, 2008 · You need to use a graphics program that can create CMYK. There aren't that many that can do it. Corel Draw is a less expensive program which can do this. If you are going to be doing a lot of print work, it would be a good investment in cost and time to learn it. NOTE: D2ARK suggests Irfanview, which does NOT support CMYK! HTH!
