What would be even better is drag-and-drop JSF support analogous to what ASP .NET developers enjoy in Visual Studio and Java developers enjoy in NetBeans and other tools. IDEA is an amazing tool in fact, the best Java tool IMHO so it surprises me that support for developing in a spec like JSF is so wanting.

Helios for Java EE will ship with full fledged Java EE 6 support, including JSF 2.0. As of now, it just works fine in Eclipse Ganymede/Galileo when you select JSF 1.2 and uses JSF 2.0 libraries. You'll only miss some code assistance which may be useful for JSF 2.0, but you can write code as good yourself.

Aug 17, 2012 · I downloaded the Eclipse Galileo and Juno Eclipse (Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers) but I can not run my JSF2 project. I've tried changing the Project Facets/JavaServer Faces for 2.0 but doesn´t allow the change. What Eclipse IDE support JSF 2.0? Thanks!

Oct 26, 2006 · Yip, I have basically tried everything out there.... (and still look every week) I personally use Exadel studio (in eclipse) because it is the first (only?) editor to fully support facelets. As soon as Studio Creator uses facelets instead of JSP it will be the best GUI JSF builder by a long way, its drag and drop is unmached (for a free ide that is)
