Jan 27, 2013 · KDE have to be compiled with libhupnp (enabling the Solid UPnP backend) to fully support UPnP. I have created on AUR kio-upnp-ms package & herqq-svn-r55 package to enable this support but obviously some troubles are dues to the missing libupnp library during kdelibs compilation (or something like that).

About a month ago, I posted here about my efforts to get KDE to recognize a UPnP/DLNA server exposing my multimedia files. Since then, I've jumped through the hoops necessary to get the latest kio_upnp-ms (and herqq, and cagibi) package installed, but it's pretty much non-functional.
