Jan 27, 2016 · just a hands up. in case lmms crashes with active asio, you will hit the blue-screen-of-death, and all other work on your pc will be lost. So boot lmms up as only running proggie, and be prepared for some coffemaking time just in case..

Sep 26, 2014 · I too used a different portaudio DLL inside LMMS (With ASIO support in it) and ASIO was the best way to use LMMS. But the biggest problem is that it was 32bit only. Also IIRC @tobydox compiled an ASIO suppored PortAudio a long time ago, but it couldn't be included in LMMS …

LMMS, which stands for Linux MultiMedia Studio, is a fantastic Open Source DAW. Despite the name, a Windows port exists. It is fairly stable and does not crash when running multiple instances of VST plugins. This is my recommended DAW for playing e-drums.
