Apr 10, 2012 · As for support of Exchange 2003, I think your safest bet is to use IMAP (and pay attention to your special folder mappings for things like Sent Items, Deleted Items, Drafts, etc.). With the new OS X update, Apple has decided to use the new EWS technology for syncing instead of activesync. Since EWS technology is only in Exchange 2007 and higher, the only work around this would be to download Office for Mac 2008.

Mar 01, 2017 · It's just the Exchange ActiveSync protocol, which doesn't really change enough for it to be unsupported just because you have a new phone operating system year to year. We were running Exchange 2003 up until last year and had iPhones running iOS 6-9 connecting to it. You're probably complicating this more than it's worth.

Mar 23, 2014 · Even with Exchange 2003 it's a feature rich protocol, unlike setting up your corporate email as imap or pop. One caveat to note is that programs such as Outlook 2011 or the new Mail.app do not support Exchange 2003 if they support Exchange 2007/2010.
