Ah, I understand, sorry about that. In Firefox all you get is the icon at the bottom. Actually a previous version accidentaly caused everyone to get an extra toolbar all on its own and we were swamped with complaints because as you probably know, Firefox doesn't allow merging and moving of toolbars, although there are add-ons that will unlock the toolbars I found that they clash with SiteAdvisor.

McAfee is rewriting theirs from the ground up so that changing Firefox versions wont have any effect in the future and I think that is a far better approach as Firefox …

My version of Firefox is 3.5.3, the name of the file from download.com was 26.6.. sorry for the confusion. When I go try and uninstall SiteAdvisor from Control Panel, the only McAfee related program I have is McAfee Security Centre, which came as a free trial on my laptop and has expired yesterday.

And yes, I do know the risks of using pre-release versions of software (many Firefox extensions don't work yet). One curious thing: I just noticed that in Firefox 2.0.14 I have Siteadvisor 26.6. In 3rc1 I have 26.5. I tried the extension update and I tried to download Siteadvisor from the SiteAdvisor website and I keep getting 26.5 (not 26.6).
