But I didn't find any vala project/file options in monodevelop, although the vala-package is installed. Should I install any other packages to use monodevelop with vala successfully?

Heyho, I'm using my holidays to get used to Vala. Since I'm familiar with this IDE and I've read that it supports Vala, i wanted to use MonoDevelop, but unfortunately I'm not able to create a Vala project. Only C#, C++, VB and so on. I have Ubuntu 12.04, MonoDevelop 2.8 and some valac.I know MD supports Vala language but I don't see any support of Vala there actually. If a C solution is made from scratch, then GCC is used for building the project so the process obviously fails.
