As i'm sure most of you know, the problem is Morrowind (and even Oblivion) will only really use 1 core no matter how many you have, which leads to difficulty in some games when playing on laptops that rely on all the cores it has (e.g FPS plummeting when lots of NPCs are on screen. usually in a city).

Aug 30, 2012 · That's very good to hear, I've been wanting something like this to happen for a while, as I'm a huge Morrowind fan. As it is, my computer can play the game with a few small graphics mods and mge set to draw 20 cells at a barely tolerable framerate, about 15 fps.

You guys are confusing multi-core processing [of which ANY process can take advantage as long as the OS can support it] with multi-threaded processing spread across two or more cores, which Oblivion can't do because it's not hardcoded in its exe.

The Morrowind modding community is still producing extreme graphics mods that demand a lot from the CPU. But with technology producing platforms that have more cores with less frequency per core, this is a step backwards for Morrowind.
