IPv6 and 6VPE Support in MPLS VPN [Cisco IP Solution ...

    https://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/netmgtsw/ps4748/products_user_guide_chapter09186a0080935063.html
The IPv6 MPLS VPN service model is similar to that of IPv4 MPLS VPNs. Service providers who have already deployed MPLS IPv4 VPN services over an IPv4 backbone can deploy IPv6 MPLS VPN services over the same IPv4 backbone by upgrading the PE router IOS version and dual-stack configuration, without any change on the core routers.

Can I use MPLS Traffic Engineering with IPv6?

    https://searchnetworking.techtarget.com/answer/Can-I-use-MPLS-Traffic-Engineering-with-IPv6
Mar 01, 2010 · MPLS does not support IPv6-- yet. Neither LDP nor MPLS Traffic Engineering (MPLS TE) interact with IPv6. To benefit from the MPLS features (for example, BGP -free network core, fast recovery with Fast Reroute or Traffic Engineering), you have to transport IPv6 across an MPLS-enabled IPv4 …

Example: Configuring LDP Native IPv6 Support - TechLibrary ...

    https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/example/example-configuring-ldp-native-ipv6-support.html
LDP is supported in an IPv6 only network, and in an IPv6 or IPv4 dual-stack network as described in RFC 7552. Configure the address family as inet for IPv4 or inet6 for IPv6. By default, IPv6 is used as the TCP transport for the LDP session with its peers when both IPv4 and IPv6 are enabled.

What Is IPv4 & IPv6 Dual Stack and MPLS Technique?

May 17, 2017 · Besides, MPLS networks achieve greater Quality of Service (QoS) for their customers. FS.COM S5800-48F4S routing switches support for IPv4 & IPv6 dual stack and rich MPLS features and enhanced multicast and QoS capabilities can provide customers with a wealth of business features and routing functions, as well as hardware-based security features.

MPLS backbone to support ipv6 - Cisco Community

    https://community.cisco.com/t5/mpls/mpls-backbone-to-support-ipv6/td-p/587289
Folks, We currently have MPLS backbone comprised of about 12 routers in the core. We could like to implement support for IPV6. Has anyone implemented this in their MPLS network yet. I know very few providers have deployed ipv6 support on their MPLS network. Could someone point out areas I …

MPLS over IPv6 - Cisco Community

    https://community.cisco.com/t5/mpls/mpls-over-ipv6/td-p/1106054
currently you cannot use MPLS over an IPv6 only core. However, you can deploy a private ip address plan per RFC1918 infrastructure this is only a workaround. I don't know if there is a road-map for this feature but I agree that is wellcome and desired. Hope to help. Giuseppe

RFC 4659 - BGP-MPLS IP Virtual Private Network (VPN ...

    https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4659
This method reuses, and extends where necessary, the "BGP/MPLS IP VPN" method for support of IPv6. In BGP/MPLS IP VPN, "Multiprotocol BGP" is used for distributing IPv4 VPN routes over the service provider backbone, and MPLS is used to forward IPv4 VPN packets over the backbone.Cited by: 19

RFC 4798 - Connecting IPv6 Islands over IPv4 MPLS Using ...

    https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4798
Introduction There are several approaches for providing IPv6 connectivity over an MPLS core network [ RFC4029 ] including (i) requiring that MPLS networks support setting up IPv6-signaled Label Switched Paths (LSPs) and establish IPv6 connectivity by using those LSPs, (ii) use configured tunneling over IPv4-signaled LSPs, or (iii) use the IPv6 Provider Edge (6PE) approach defined in this document.Cited by: 18
