Windows 10 - WD MyBookWorld Driver issue I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 & have encountered the following problem. My WD MyBookWorld is visible & accessible in File Explorer under "Network" however File History doesn't display it as an available drive to save copies of my files.

Jun 29, 2017 · Since most of not all My book world edition i and II only support SMB1 does this mean it will have to be thrown to the trash? still works what a shame… saw some hacks to SMB2 but not sure how safe that is as you can brick your device and loose all data.

Prerequisites ; - You must be able to connect to your PUBLIC share from your computer and browse your files : \\<Mybook>\PUBLIC where <Mybook> is the ip address of your Mybook.

Dec 07, 2018 · WD My Book World Edition (White) After building a PC with win 10, i've not had my WD my book world edition used for a good while, decided to plug it in and install the drivers etc. Plugged it into a switch and it's not being recognised at all, even downloaded the WD cd with the drivers and the detection tool doesn't see it either.
