Aug 14, 2017 · The code you are using should work fine in IE7 to determine that the "Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked. You can set the IE's document mode to check this issue. It seems that the window.XMLHttpRequest is always working on IE 8 and IE8+ no matter that the Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked or not.

Mar 10, 2011 · Compared the differences in how Ext.data.Connection functioned in IE and FF. Additional research found that native browser support of XMLHTTP differences was the culprit. The class itself makes no detections on browsers and assumes native support is available. Possible work around: [not for normal users]
