I definitely prefer NetBeans and I would love to see full perl support in NetBeans. Currently I develop Perl/Mason web stuff. It would be great to have some mixed syntax support - like syntax highlighting in Mason-modules (mixed up w/ HTML!). Sad to know GLF will be discontinued.

The (netbeans.org) bug tracker is only useful for requesting incremental modifications to projects that actually exist (on netbeans.org). Perhaps at some point Oracle will decide to fund an effort to create product-quality Perl support, but currently no such decision is announced that I know of.
