Aug 19, 2009 · The quota tools are compiled with RPC support, but this is only for the "quota" tool itself, using that over NFS/RPC works fine, it is repquota who is the problem here. I am planning on running my /home over a Sun ZFS storage system, but before doing so, quota's over NFS should work

Aug 05, 2008 · It's probably a problem in quota-tools. They check the filesystem type and nfs4 is not on their list of quota-enabled filesystems. As a quick-hack you could try editing /etc/mtab and changing nfs4 to nfs. Or try applying patch on quota tools sources, recompile a try again (only binaries on client need to be replaced - server should be ok).
