Nov 27, 2011 · @CantScareMe - theres no reason why the N8 (& other similar nokia fons with USBOTG) wouldnt support external usb dac as long as its self powered (ie does NOT require juice from fon even for the usb chip) & does NOT require alternative usb audio drivers. the other caveat would be the specific USBOTG cable as i dont think a regular data microusb ...

The idea is that all microUSB cables will fit the N8 (and other Symbian^3 phones) but that the CA-157 will only fit the Nokia phones (and any other future USB on the Go hosts). The physical difference hopefully stops confusion with users of other phones 'trying the adapter anyway', with predictable disappointment.
