When writing your code for anything taking: import java.something do we have to install a .CAB file? If I did import java.io.File then would there be a .CAB file that I need to install on the PDA?

I want to use HSQLDB as a database. I have downloaded HSQLDB 1.8. Now, i want to know that, how to install and configure HSQLDB on the emulator / PDA so it can be used with a J2ME CDC application running on CreMe JVM.

Follow the instructions of the NSI.com InstallShield wizard to install the Developer Kit. From the Main Menu of the NetBeans IDE, choose Tools > Java Platform Manager.

So, once this is dne, you can upload NSICom Creme to it and the files necessary to run MI and deploy these. Doing that, you need to use the correct files necessary for your runtime. So MI7.0 needs Creme 3.xx while MI7.1 needs Creme 4.xx I think. But that you can get from the install guides and PAM. Hope that makes things a little more clear ...
