My chair arrived today so I can't speak about it's longevity, just my initital impressions. I purchased it as a nursing chair and I believe it will be ideal for that purpose. The back is high and firm, the seat is a bit softer but not so soft that you sink into it. It has a nice amount of support without being uncomfortable.
