I suspect that for those with higher end CPUs etc, it may still work. This may have already been answered in a post since May 25th, but shortly after getting my GS 250 card I asked nVidia support about this issue, and was told that the 240 was the minimum card for which blu-ray 3d support would work.

Nov 16, 2015 · If nVidia were to sell (for say $100) a legal add-on to the Shield that made it possible to use off-the-shelf USB Blu Ray drives w/ Blu Ray XL support, such that it could play the upcoming UHD Blu Ray discs, I would purchase a couple licenses in a heartbeat.

Mar 13, 2019 · 3D in the home is fading away. Nvidia has announced that it will end support for its 3D Vision system that allowed you to play games in 3D with glasses (via Engadget). Nvidia abandons 3D 3D TVs are no longer available and PC monitors with 3D support are being phased out. Nvidia is also planning to abandon the technology come April 2019.

May 22, 2017 · Guys Ive been down this route with Cyberlink before in prior releases, reporting 3d bluray bugs in betas (which were never fixed) and in the end with a whole bunch of time wasting by support asking questions I've already answered / giving rubbish boiler plate cut n paste responses that were of no relevance to the actual defects - Cyberlink basically blamed Nvidia on it.
