installs on Octave 5.1, 4.4, 4.2, 4.0 on GNU/Linux. all 31 tests pass with Octave 5.1, 4.4, 4.2, 4.0 on GNU/Linux. NEWS is sensible. html seems sensible. version numbers ok in all 3 files. So IMO the package can be released. I upload the tarballs against which I checked (from the changeset indicated in the original post).
